Woke up to find place freezing, heating not on. When I checked I found the pressure at 0. However when I open the valve to top it up the needle doesn't respond at all. Any idea what could have happened?

Your auto filler is goosed or you have no water supply.

What type of heating do you have?

Gas boiler; rang the guy who installed who said there is no auto-filler. I topped it up and after stubbornly refusing to budge for a bit, needle finally went to 1.5 as normal. Will keep an eye on it and see what happens in the next while.

if it was down at 0 you will have a lot of air traped in system . and you will need to bleed the air out of the rads.
