Hello, was delayed on 18th June this year for over 7 hrs and trying to claim the compensation for this, Thompson are giving me the run around. Has anyone gotten flight delay compensation from them? Any tips?

They are blaming ATC although all flights scheduled from T1 have departed and mostly on time

    Have they provided your rights?

It was a Canadian Sunwings plane and no they did not advise us of our rights. They did give out an €8 voucher though ,to each passenger

The fact most aircraft left T1 doesn't mean ATC isn't the issue. Things might be clear in DUB, but en route there may be restrictions resulting in the aircraft being delayed. To give an example, you need to get from A to B, its a long drive and the traffic is good in your area, but one of the roads you need to take is closed and you cant get permission to travel on a different road, as due to the closure of a road on your planned route, the alternative routes are congested... this has a knock on effect for the rest of the day.

I'm not saying ATC is the issue, just that the fact planes are still taking off from Dublin doesn't mean its not.
