    Just finished it.

6 part Australian show about the risen dead ( not zombies ). Aired in Australia in 2015 and picked by Nexflix. Season 2 has got the go ahead with Netflix to be involved in the production.

Good show, small budget to start off with but well written, directed and acted.

Nice to see the dead to come back, but not as zombies !

    Anyone else see it ?

Watched the first episode and a half and I'm hooked. Great premise

I could see it being remade in the states, 6 epispdes is a short season but lots of meat on the bone to expand.

I've been considering watching this but hate anything in the zombie, vampire, violent sort of scene. Is this different to that?

Ya, totally different. Watch the fist 10 minutes and you'll get a good feel for whether you like it or not

Reminding me a bit of the French series, The Returned.

There's a US version of that on Netflix which I tried to watch after watching glitch and I preferred the Australian show as it seemed more natural.

Also with glitch it did a great job of trying to get across how much of a mind**** the situation can be on a persons mind.

The US version is terrible, you need to watch the French one.
I'm four episodes into Glitch now. I like it but it's copied from The Returned a huge amount.

I tried the returned and made it through 1.5 episodes. Is Glitch similarly creepy?

I only made it through three episodes into the us version. Pain in the arse. Well the subject matter in kind of open to copying though.

Creepy ? I think glitch did a better job IMO. It's not creepy as in weird. I don't know maybe it's the Australian setting that helped make it different.

I'd be a bigger fan of The Returned. It has a bit more depth and it's also the original that Glitch is copied from. The photography is a lot better in the French one as well.

That said, I want season 2 already!

You have to hand it to them that they got an actual Irish person to play the Irish role.

Watched this over the weekend. Very enjoyable and good to see Ned Dennehy in it - that lad is getting loads of work these days, just seems to pop up in everything. Already looking forward to Season 2.

    Season 2 drops November 28th.

All of season 2 dropped in Australia a few days and it's just as good as the first season.

Hopefully it gets a 3rd season.

Good to hear. I'll probably wait until it lands on Netflix at the end of November to watch it, but I look forward to it - it'll be a nice series to binge in December when everything else goes on hiatus for the holidays.

First episode of season 2 didn't wow me much... probably my fault for a binge of season 1 in a single evening! :(

Don't think I got past episode 1 of the second season.. was a bit drawn out.

Anyone watch the rest of it? Did it improve?

Just finished the first season, and it's a very good story, reminds me of the leftovers because I havent the foggiest whats going on, although it does seem the Pharmaceutical company did something, wasnt there a black SUV by the cemetery before Bo showed up?

And finished the second season. Thought they filmed it really well. Spoiler >>>>

Really sad that Paddy died but glad that his relative sorted things out for Bo's family

  • Binged on this all weekend. Thought it was brilliant.

Finally got around to watching Season 2. Thought it was great - built on a solid first season and took the show to another level. The cast are fantastic and I enjoy the pacing.

Looking forward to Season 3, as there are a couple of intriguing cliffhangers to pick up from.

Season 3 starts in Australia on August 25th and will drop on Netflix world wide in September.

Never expected a third season. With the fast-paced stuff we have these days, such a lugubrious but intriguing slow-burner series was a treat to watch.

Finished the season and they gave an ending and closure to a very enjoyable series.

    Spoiler on the closure.
However no answer was given to how & why which I'm ok with to be honest.

watched the 3 seasons over the last week or so. really enjoyed. Does anybody know what the significance of the whistle was?

watched the 3 seasons over the last week or so. really enjoyed.

It's got it's flaws with some ropey acting and plot-holes, but it's quite enjoyable for a no-budget sci-fi/paranoramal show. Season three ramped up the Keystone Cops action element with some resultant eye-rolling, especially at the end, so that it all seemed a bit rushed, and a bit confusing (especially if you leave long gaps between seasons), but it ended pretty powerful tbh; it all came together well.
Does anybody know what the significance of the whistle was?
    Wasn't it that
it had the same frequency that Dr Heysen from Noregard used to reconstruct the Risen through DNA replication meddling? The one that brought about the visual patterns at the cemetary?
I can't go into the science of it- it's too involved.:p

    I know it's sci-fi hocus pocus but
a little localised resonancy for a spot of reanimation triggered the end of the universe?
    Bit drastic. :D

I can’t google this this in case it leads to spoilers.
Elishia had only intended to resurrect William and the others were an accident but I cannot remember why she wanted him.

Was it because he had died and come back before?
