Trajet Airbag light

So, while showing off the swivel seats on my 05 trajet I stretched the wire under the seat and the Airbag light came on. I rejoined the wire and tried a generic diagnostic tool but no errors came up. I then went to the local mechanic who said there was no codes either because his diagnostic system couldn't connect to the cars Airbag module. He suggested a second hand Ecu just to clear the fault and then revert back to my Ecu but surely the fault lies in my ecu.

Any suggestions on my next step.

    Thanks in advance

    K

Try disconnect the batter for 5 minutes, might work.

Thanks for the quick reply, unfortunately I've already tried that, but I left it disconnected overnight

Yes that will sometimes work...are you sure the wire is fully joined together?

Any decent mechanic will be bale to clear the code, it just needs more than a generic reader
