    Heading to cork this weekend. Any recommendations as never been to the city before. Special interest in pubs with live music.

    Mid 30's. Any kinda music except heavy metal rubbishy!
    Also any recommendations for places to see/things to do

    Decent rundown here of gigs on this weekend. All the venues mentioned are pubs in the City Centre http://whazon.com/gigs.html

    Might not be as busy this weekend as normal, after the long weekend last week and the start of the run-in to Xmas, but there will still be a buzz around. Most of the best places will be either on, or on one of the side streets off, Oliver Plunkett St, so right in the heart of town. Saturday is really good for strolling around the city centre, take in the Market etc.
