Caught the first two episodes of the last season: Andre Braugher made such an immediate impact, guy's such an easy, magnetic presence you'd have sworn he was always on the show.

And great to see Eli Gold back, long overdue and look forward to what seemed like a multi-episode appearance. Enjoyed the case with the singer; the toadying to China especially topical given Hollywood's love of doing that.

Really? That's ... an interesting choice. I've loved Elsbeth every time she appeared across both shows, but she always felt like the kind of character best used in small doses, lest she become irritating and a bit one-note. The trick will be maintaining the goofiness of her without descending into something like She-Hulk was.

Any further details? This going to be headed by the Kings again?

Finally finished Season 6 up after kinda drifting off my radar while I was watching it - that bump about another spin-off reminded me to finish it! Kinda surprised now, given where this show finished up, that the spin-off will involve Lisbeth instead of Diane's newest pastures. Though I have started to wonder what age Diane is supposed to be in this world, given the Christine Baranski is 70 (but has never looked it!)

Must say, that was a good finale to a show: after a host of recent series whose ending episodes were total letdowns - looking at you, Ozark - this was a satisfying capper with sense of a chapter closing; rather than everyone's stories ending suddenly, go away. Would have liked a bit more closure on where Richard & Liz went mind you; Andre Braugher was a great addition.
