    Hello,

Few months ago I bought a 206cc with Irish plates but I moved to UK.
My logbook was sent to my old address.
I want to get rid of the car but how should I do this because they want some kind of proof.

The car is in my name, I've sent the agency many emails but they aren't helpful.

How should I do if I want to buy a car from Ireland but have it in the U.K. (NI) because I want to buy an automatic car for my girlfriend to drive.

The last dealer told me I need to transfer it in my name by giving my last Irish address but because I'm not living there I cannot get the logbook which I need to import.

    Anyone that can help me?

Can you not collect it from your last address?

In terms of "How should I do if I want to buy a car from Ireland but have it in the U.K. (NI) because I want to buy an automatic car for my girlfriend to drive." - I'm fairly sure that they've started selling automatic cars in the UK over the last few weeks. If you look hard enough, you might find one!

So you have an Irish car in UK but no logbook?
Can you get a logbook replacement and have it sent to your parents?

Can you get the logbook from the address it was sent to? If not, contact Shannon & ask them to send a new logbook to an address you do have access to.

The office who issues motor logbooks is in Shannon. Contact them. Get a replacement logbook sent to an address in whatever country they are willing to send it to which you have access.
