Anyone know where you can buy poly watch or similar
I have a scratch on an acrylic crystal I would like to get rid of. I believe it works very well.
Its an 70s Rolex date just, I'm pretty sure the crystal is acrylic
Ive tried the toothpaste truck but its not lifting out the scuff.

You'll find it on Ebay handy enough. Probably Amazon as well

I've used finer grades of sandpaper finishing off with Brasso metal cleaner, but I've got a fair bit of practice under my belt. I'd not like to start practicing with a 70's Rolex.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

For anyone unsure of using Polywatch I highly recommend it. I've used this tiny tube twice in a year and still loads left. It makes a huge difference to the crystal. If you look closely in the pic attached it also pics up a decent amount of grime. Worth a shot for any tired, scratched or discoloured crystals.

As advised here, i bought over on eBay, and it worked really well.

Only down side, was that I showed the girlfriend my before and after polywatch job on the old Rolex... oh that's nice she said... Ill have that...
Had to re size the oyster bracelet so it would fit her, and it lives on her wrist now :-)

Slightly off thread ... did someone here put up a pic of their new Rolex Oyster Perpetual lately? I saw them in the flesh in Weir a few days back, the ones that come in blue or 'grape' or grey with coloured marker accents, really simple faces, no date. Man they are nice. First new Rolex I have really liked for a long time

Like the OP, I've a 73 DJ and I've been using Autosol for a couple of years with great effect. Halfords have it, about €7 for a large tube although any motor factor will have it. (Started using Autosol to restore motorcycle crankcases etc a couple of years back and got thinking :eek::eek: )
