I'd imagine there's plenty of people doing it already.

+1 and unless you can do a 24/7 callout forget it!

No one doing this mobile service. People love their trucks, could make a pretty penny polishing truck wheels.
    35 a rim x 6 rims x even one truck a day is 1050 for 5 day week.
You would aim to do 5 trucks a day.

Start up cost cheap as chips.
All you need is Rouge Lube cream and a grinder/buffer and then to master the craft.

You'll need a good few months, maybe years worth of experience if you want to be successful. As said before it's a very tough job and lots of knowledge is essential.

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

This crowd cover call outs for 32 counties 24/7
    http://www.midlandtyres.ie/24-hour-breakdown-service/
They are a big outfit and cover some of the big HGV fleets, for the tyre manufacturers where they go to their yard, check tyre condition and thread dept. Passat11 It will be hard to compete with midland.

Regarding the aluminium wheels, not many trucks have them, some have them for weight reduction, and for looks. The most popular make of wheel is Alcoa again from midland. If they are not too bad with brake dust and other road dirt they can be power washed with detergent.
