    hi all
i'm moving into a rented house next week which has no alarm and the landlord won't be putting one in either. my wife does like the security of having one in the house, especially if i was away with work for the night. i heard about simplisafe, an american company where you basically install it yourself and take it away if you move. theres no drilling or wires so it seems like an option for us but i don't think you can get it here. is there anything like this available in ireland or is there anything else people on here would recommend as a short term fix till we move again in about a year?? we are living in a street with a bit of street lighting, the back garden has a rockface behind it so it isn't easily accessible and its a 3 story house but its really only the bottom floor i'd be looking to do something to (ie motion detectors).
    thanks

You are still letting them get in before detecting them . Motion detectors are not as effective as doing the downstairs Doors and windows and most wireless are easy enough to move.
