    Night All,

We have a few devices at home and as the boy child is 9 it is probably time to put a block on what can come in via the wireless .

I tried open dns but I couldn't manage it.
I didn't understand where to change the address numbers. (I'm very dim and also after 2hkass of wine so I abandoned ship)

Can anyone offer any advice or offer an alternative please.

I want all unsuitable stuff blocked.

    Thanks very much
    Lisha

Turn off the router and stay off the wine. Simple... a child that young shouldn't be using the Internet.

He is very rarely online. He is the only child in his class who doesn't play Xbox or ps online. (He has Xbox but no online activity, if it requires upgrade I must do it using a password) The majority of kids in his class use a messaging app think it's 'kixs' he is not allowed on that either.

He watches YouTube tutorials re mine craft or those guys swapping soccer cards maybe once a month. I'm in the room when he is doing this.

What concerns me is that he could access material that I don't think he should yet. Also if friends are here with a tablet they could access stuff via wifi.
If a kid here has a device wifi is switched off. But as they get older I'm concious that other kids are very net savvy.

So basically all I asked for was help with something like open dns that would prevent porn etc at the router stage.

If anyone could offer any advice on this I would be very grateful.

    Thanks
