Replacing some bathroom floor tiles.

So a handful of our bathroom floor tiles are cracked, and the grout between others needs to be replaced.

We have replacement tiles left by the houses previous owner. I reckon this should be a doable diy project but I could do with a few tips.
I need to buy some grout and cement. If I only need a small quantity whats the best way to buy? I have a bosch multi-tool. Would I be better using a grout removal head for that or using a grout saw by hand? I will need to cut two tiles. I don't have a tile cutter. What's the best way to go about this?

If you only need to cut two, the old-fashioned tile cutting tool does the job only about a tenner

    Or else rent one.

    • if a handfull of tiles have cracked and the grout is coming away in the other tiles, more than likely all the tiles are not bonded to the surface underneath.so regrouting is only a very short term measure,

    Agree with agusta.

I'm not a DIY expert by any means but we had the exact same problem so I hired a tiler to regrout and he warned me that if it was done poorly initially then regrouting is only gonna work short term.

Fast forward 6 months and hes right, starting to lift again.

Like agusta said, if it was done incorrectly initially the no amount of grouting will fix it.

Nah it's more like tiles have been cracked from things being dropped on them, and grout is cracked because they probably used the stuff for concrete instead of the flexible one for wooden floors.

    Thanks for the tips folks.
