Creaky dash on bmw f11

    folks,

    I bought a 520d f11 some months back.
It has developed a really annoying creak from the top of the dash whenever I go around a corner. ( or turn at all )

It had been fine but within a few weeks of buying it, it threw a wheel weight and I had to get a wheel balanced.

The chap doing it jacked the car with the boot open, which I would normally not allow but I was otherwise engaged.

I think that issue has been since then and it is driving me mad.

Could have been caused by that do folks think ?

Does anyone know of a good mechanic in Dublin who'd be able to have a look and possibly solve the issue?

    thanks

I'd be 99% certain the jacking would not cause any significant twisting force that would set something off. Does the creak disappear when you apply pressure to any part of the dash?

Did you google "F11 dashboard creak"? Seems to be a somewhat known issue.

yes - I can make it creak by applying pressure to the top of it

my f10 was a fantastic car - and when I sold it had 230kms on it and never missed a beat except the turbo but that was spotted (by my wife) and it was replaced under warranty.
this damn creaky dashing is really spoiling this for me though.
