What is a symbol for Ireland, or better, Cork city?

    Hello,

I will make an example now - London is usually associated with the "Mind the Gap" Tube station picture or the rain or Big Ben.

Are there any symbols that picture Ireland or better, Cork city?
Maybe, the bridge in St Patrick's Street?

    Thank you,
    loveireland94

For Cork City I'd go with Traffic Lights.

Starting with what I would consider "most Cork" and down to stuff that many will know but may not automatically associate with Cork.

    - City Hall
    - Shandon
    - Patrick's Hill
    - The lights on St Patrick's Street and Grand Parade
    - National Monument on Grand Parade
    - The County Hall
    - The Elysian

Shandon's pepperpot steeple is unmistakable, even in silhouette.
Other things, bridges, buildings and castles look pretty generic.

The Cork Coat of Arms is pretty distinctive too.

The pattern of these questions suggest someone is writing a travel blog or similar without doing any of the legwork
