Sound insulation for 5" circular air-vent

    Hi all,
When I moved back into my apartment the first thing I did was drill 5" holes in the wall for air-vents (should have been there in the first place, I know)

The issue now is that I can hear neighbours clearly as they pass the alley on the side of the house. It's not their fault, they're not that loud, but I can hear conversations.

I was thinking of putting in some soft sound insulation (we use similar on the engine room in the boat) by cutting half-circles and putting them in a 'chicane' style along the pipe in the hope that this would drown out some of the house but still allow some air in. (seen people do this online)

I'm not all that concerned about ventilation as we leave the windows open a crack most of the time.

Any idea where I could source a sheet / roll of this?
