ROS Debit Instruction. Timescale ?

Hi all, I completed a ROS Debit Instruction on 21/10 for 2015 Income tax and 2016 Prelim, with a payment date of 21/10.
An automatic acknowledgement appeared on my ROS Revenue Record but as yet the payment has not been taken from my Bank A/C.
I'm just wondering if it can take a few days for Revenue to complete the Debit as it is nearing the end of October and I did my Returns on a paper F11 this year, which really only gives me until this Friday (last working day of the month) to pay Revenue this year's figure.

Once the return is submitted, and youve done the revenue debit, you're grand. The rdi will take 5 working days so it'll probably come out of your account tomorrow or Friday...

    Relax!

I made my return in Sept and opted for the RDI for the 10th Oct. The money actually only came out of my account on the 18th.
