Is this a good deal on a gfx cards?

Totally out of the loop and looking to get back into pc gaming. A friend of mine is upgrading and has offered me a pair of gtx 680s for 250e. I would like to revisit skyrim....... That a good deal? I'm sure I could get him down a bit more!

Those cards are nearly 5 years old.

You could be better off picking up a single rx480 or 1060, they would offer more performance, draw less power, produce less noise and heat, have better compatibility with new games, have a warranty and would be of a similar cost. In other words, its not a good deal.

GTX680's usually sell for around €100-120 now, still OK cards but for so many reasons like what Cuddlesworth has outlined, so much better off with a brand new GTX1050Ti which at this point will even have very similar performance.

Yes, a great card as well, either that or the 3Gb GTX1060 in that price range. What are the other spec's of your PC?
