Brutally efficient and highly frugal, the GTX 1050 Ti is a clear winner in its £140/$140 price category, easily outclassing both of the factory overclocked RX 460 4GB models we were sent for testing. What Nvidia has managed to extract from the minuscule 75W offered by the motherboard PCI Express power line is quite remarkable, and as a simple plug-and-go replacement for lower-end desktop PCs, there's nothing on the market quite like it. More remarkable still is that it even has a fair amount of overclocking headroom - and higher-end models that do have the PCI Express power input should easily hit and exceed 2GHz, something we look forward to testing.

Well, that's AMD somewhat sunk again. Way faster than the RX460 for a similar price for the 2GB GTX1050, available now at £115.

Game dependent but the Battlefield figures are insane, 32fps for the RX460 at 1080p ultra versus 55fps for the GTX1050 2GB.

GTX1050Ti 4GB is a nice card as well slotting into that €160 mark, but a good whack short of the GTX1060 3GB or RX470 4GB performance.

Looks like we're back to the GTX750 vs R7 260 situation....

The writing was on the wall the last day how it would perform when AMD announced a $20 price drop on the RX470!

I wish we would have such dog fight in higher end gpus.
These lower end cards are freaking impressive to say the least. Almost 60fps in battlefield 1? Damn!
Looks like it will be very cheap to build a very decent 1080p pc these days. Damn I would even build myself a htcp and throw 1050 in to it for ****s and giggles.

Hold on, that's the 1050 Ti that was reviewed.

Wait for the regular 1050, and real world pricing, before declaring a victor.

I just picked that one randomly, there are plenty of GTX1050 reviews out as well and they are available now on OCUK starting at £115 for 2GB GTX1050 and £140 for 4GB GTX1050Ti.

I have two RX460's that I haven't used yet, suddenly they don't appear so appealing!

At least they're low-margin products so you won't lose much.

Kind of feel sorry for AMD here; they probably didnt' see this coming.
