VRT Documentation

    Hi.
I bought a car in the North last month and have a VRT appointment coming up in a couple of days.
I'm wondering has anybody run into issues re the address displayed on any of the documents that you have to produce on the day.

I have always historically used my "home" address where I grew up as opposed to anywhere I lived at the time as I was living in the city and moved apartments a lot over the years.
This means that my P60, bank statements etc will have my "home" address (where my parents still live), whereas my utility bills for electricity etc. will have the address where I currently live now.

Anyone have an issue with this previously or should I be okay?
    Thanks

you will need actual copies, not print out's even if you are paperless billing. I moved my mobile to my dublin address and got a paper bill

What's the difference between "actual copy" and "print out" ?

One can be forged easily, the other requires skills.

    How come?

Difference between my bill I get issued on my email as PDF and printed on my printer, and bill which I get in the post in envelope, is only that one is printed on my printer, and other one is printed on their printer.
It's not like bills have watermarks, or other security measures.

If someone has good quality printer at home, then no one will tell the difference.

Requiring bills as proof of address is well outdated anyway. And asking for original copy (not printed PDF) is total nuts, as both might be exactly identical.

Yeah i know it's mad, but i was refused a few weeks ago. If you have a high quality laser maybe you'd be fine

Had no problems - the different addresses didn't seem to matter.

As regards the "actual" bills vs me printing out eBills I'm not sure.
All of mine were eBills that I printed out myself, but I did get my bank statement stamped by my bank the day before as I had heard you may have trouble otherwise and I didn't want to take the chance of having to come back again as I was right on the 30 day limit.

I'm not sure if that made any difference or not tbh.
