Vodafone VDSL Modem

    Hi all,

I was looking at getting a new modem/router to replace the standard one provided by Vodafone but the Internet isn't pointing to much good about the possibility of this. It seems like Vodafone don't share the information required to set up a 3rd party modem for VDSL connections, only ADSL.

Has anyone had a positive experience setting up a 3rd party modem on a Vodafone VDSL connection? (not that a positive experience exists with Vodafone in general)

Before I go dumping about 100 quid, any help is appreciated.

With VDSL you're limited to a handful of choices as whatever modem you buy must support a technology called vectoring that Eir are using. A better option is to bridge this modem and use a third party router

Does it support vectoring? It's not listed as one that does in this thread
