The ice cream 🨠machine doesn't require tokens anymore. 80c for empty cone and if you are very unscrupulous you can keep going back to top your cone up. Technically its not all you can eat, but they don't expressly say you can only do it once.

    Seriously?!

That's at best taking advantage, and at worst, theft.

A great bargain for obesity, diabetes and theft.

I just like the idea of someone who has spent 2 hours wandering around ikea spending more time there to save 80c on an extra ice cream they didn't even want

    Great.
One cone for all the *kids, thanks OP. **

Actually its neither. You pay for the cone in Ikea just like you pay for the empty coffee cup or empty paper soda cup. Their milkshake machine still needs a token so maybe they figure most people will eat the cone before they think about second helpings.

The sensor detects that the gap between the holder and dispenser is filled by a cone, it wont dispense otherwise.

Pedantically speaking, there's no such thing any more. But we certainly were until July 1st, 1991.

    Pedantically speaking, of course.

This is why 7-11 pulled out of Ireland. No kidding. They had drinks & slushy machines that offered free refills but they didn't count on the scumbag Irish who'd pay for one & then spend all day taking turns going back in to fill up.

Since I found out that the majority of "Ice Cream" we eat is just frozen vegetable fat (usually coconut oil) I don't touch the stuff. Unless it is dairy ice cream then it is not real ice cream. The only 2 common brands I could find that actually contain cream are Häagen-Dazs and Ben & Jerry's. Even the likes of Magnum ice creams which are marketed as luxury ice creams are made from vegetable fat.

    Says who??
It's veg extracts, it's hardly penguin testicles, no need to take a moral stance against it.

How does this upset you? Coconut oil is 10x better for you than milk ya numbskull... god help us if you knew half of what you really eat you'd starve.

Take care who you are calling numbskull. Im sure the oil in its raw state is much better for you. I know well what goes into food products.

    Bullcrap

My cousin was the territory manager. Refills cost them over €30k per location in lost stock in the first six months. They figured having security at each store would cost them more & the loss was too big to maintain when their plans were extrapolated.

No, you're right, we're not, but the losses here were unprecedented
