    Hi there
Have read the policy document but still don't understand the idea of AVC.
It's taken out of my payslip every 2 weeks - listed under the PAYE, PRSI, property tax etc
Is it something that I can claim tax back for, or has it been awarded tax relief already?
Asking as we just realised my husband's pension contributions were due tax relief and got a cheque from Revenue for last 4 years' worth of payments...wouldn't mind if I was entitled to the same!
Sorry if I sound clueless...I am when it comes to these things.

If it appears on your payslip, the liklihood is, that the appropriate tax relief is being granted via Net Pay Arrangement at source by your employer's payroll
