I use good quality high speed cards. The normal body has two slots and I usually shoot on a 32Gb in the CF slot and have a back up 32Gb in the SD slot. Today I was at the local show and realised I had left the CF card in the reader. Not to worry I still had the SD card.

Later in the day I was asked to shoot the fashion show. Light was low and tricky so shot plenty. Later in the show the card was full. Quickly asked my wife to give me the 16Gb SD from her camera. It was an older Sandisk card. The difference was amazing. I kept hitting the buffer limit. Just had to slow the frame rate down a bit to get the show covered.

Note to self: Pack extra cards.
