    Hello,
we are looking with girlfriend for double room in Drogheda but mostly we got answer like "couple not allowed".
Why is that a problem? What's wrong with couples? Even if we say that we can pay more as we a couple the answer is no. Can someone tell us why?
Also, we still looking for room.

    Regards

    In a house share?

Most likely owner occupied, who wants two people instead of one? Couples cosy night in and the owner feels like a third leg in their own home. More wear and tear..... Twice as likely for their to be a personality clash.

    Just not worth anybodys while.....

Because couples are a pain in the arse. Simple really. You'll have 2 new people in the house and at least one of them will be backed up by someone even when they're clearly in the wrong. A lot of people would rather not have the potential for domestics and so on in their lives when it shouldn't be their problem.

    +1 to the above.

I'll be renting out my spare room soon but it will definitely be a 'no couples' ad going up.
