Probably my favourite horse of the last 20 years. Went kinda big on him the year he clattered the fence at Cheltenham and lost his crown. No hard feelings though!

When you rewatch a race like the one in the first post here or maybe even better again the Tingle creek victory over the same horses, it shows you how exciting the 2 mile chase category can be and how much of a slog the Gold Cup usually is in comparison.

Please dont remind me. Had an acca done with the first three being well chief, Brave Inca and hardy Eustace at 4s, 8s, and 40s going down on moscow. I will never forget that moment and I still adore the horse. One of my all time favs.

Was away from all means of communication yesterday, so this was my morning news today. Sad news to wake up to. :(

As I live up against harringtons, the horse was king of that yard.. A legend.. One of a kind.. A horse we'd all love to own.. I shed a tear when I heard the news as I was only up in the national stud seeing him a few weeks ago..

    RIP The Flyer
