Quartz backsplash after Electrician chasing/chizelling walls

    Hi folks,

We're renovating our kitchen and getting quartz counter top and oven backsplash in.

Quick question. Tomorrow we are chasing the walls and extending the sockets and oven switch to be further right and left respectively (roughly 6 - 8 inches) so we can put the quartz backsplash the whole way across and up to the extractor.

Do we need to plaster underneath where the quartz will go? Stupid question I know! Not the most knowledgeable in these areas.

    Thanks
    Nalz

NO should be ok as long as quartz covers all
