Hi Folks. Can anyone pls advice on an ideal health insurance cover/plan for a female, over 30, non-irish (I need to advise someone)? I'm so totally lost with all the verbiage on here:

Lowest cost over all else) seems most major concern.

    Thanks

There is no ideal plan really, you need to decide what plan will suit you, for example...
    • Being a female if she plans to start a family soon she may want a plan which includes comprehensive cover for this.
    • If she does a lot of sport a plan which included a number of annual physio consultations.
    • If there's a particular high risk illness in her family history getting a plan which includes cover for these conditions.
    • Her location in the country so she can decide which private hospital near her is covered and then choose the plan which includes this hospital.
    • And finally how much she can afford to spend, you can literally go from around €800 or less a year up to €5k plus on the larger plans.

hsf for minor claims, basic stuff. full comp on mri, physio, reflexology etc. rebate on gp fees, etc. pay a small amount of money (25.00 ) is moderate. save the rest of your money in a savings jar. you are young, why bother? if you get really sick you will be looked after.

private health insurance is over rated and too expensive.
