Long story short...alloys damaged by using Wonder Wheels alloy cleaner.
Crazing/corrosive type damage is slight rather than extensive but annoying nonetheless.
Can anyone recommend a wheel refurbishment shop in Limerick/Clare area?...or should I tackle it myself?

John at Wheelfix in Ballyneety is well recommended and good value:

Let us know how you get on. Always seems to be better value in buying second hand wheels in good condition, rather than getting what you have fixed.

If you feel so inclined there is still the DIY route

Anyone know roughly how much it would cost to get a set of wheels powder coated please?

    Are they diamond cut wheels?

Not to the best of my knowledge. Just normal alloys which seem to be lacquered. There is no damage to the outside lacquered area just the unlacquered area behind the spokes. (see photos)
Photos also show corrosion on the wheel bolts. Sorry I ever heard of Wonder Wheels, used it only because it was highly recommended by one of those UK car mags!

Don't think that corrosion would be from wheel cleaner..... WheelDoctor in Tipperary would bring them uk new.

Also get them balanced with weights on inside when their painted. :)
