vent for stove - noise issue.

Have a stove in sitting room with air pipe going straight out to west facing wall, the issue was that any time it was windy it sounded like there was a gale in the room.
The installer came out and put a cover over the vent area on the outside wall which solved the wind issue but now the issue is that heavy rain bounces of this cover which has a worse noise than the wind issue.

Any suggestions on the type of cover to use ?

Suggest taking it up over pitch of roof, where it should go.
