Renvyle House Hotel - Enough Space?

    Hi!

I would love to hear from anyone who got married in Renvyle House Hotel in Galway, or who attended a wedding there as a guest. Especially if the wedding was larger.

My Fiancé and I are looking at venues for our wedding in May 2018, and will probably have around 180 guests (inviting 200). We have visited Renvyle and absolutely love it as it is laid back and relaxed which is what we want. We are not having a church wedding, so the ceremony will take place at the venue, outside if weather permits. However, it being Ireland we will need to plan for an inside ceremony.

But I am wondering if it will be a little tight with our numbers in Renvyle. Their maximum is 180, although the manager told me she did do 194 before and it was fine. I have no visual perception though and I thought the room for the dancing (and for the ceremony if it rains) looked quite small - it's called the courtyard. So I'd really appreciate anyone's experiences of having the ceremony inside there, and also whether it was comfortable enough for dancing - I intend on spending the night on the floor, but just don't want anyone feeling like it was too crowded. Or would people mind if it was crowded? We'll have a mix of all age groups. Actually any opinions, good or bad, would be great!

    Thank you all!!!!

I recently spoke to someone who had 180 guests for their wedding there this summer and had no issues with space, and spoke to another booking it for those numbers. I was there myself for a wedding but it was very small, only 30 of us, so not much help to you!

Hi Spottybananas, thanks for that! Great to hear of good experiences :) A 30 person wedding sounds really intimate, I bet it was lovely!
