How did the Dutch lose that?!?! Their lead out was bang on. Great finish though.

Perfect positioning from the Danish rider in that sprint.

Maybe the last lead-out rider for the Dutch sprinter peeled off a tiny bit early?

Maybe even when you do everything right, it's just not to be. The Dane nailed it though. Chapeau to her.

Great finish, awful course roundabouts, 180 turns, speed ramps in the middle of a building site 40c+ temperatures, no spectators , I can see how the UCI were attracted to holding the worlds in Doha.

The roads were so unsuitable the first 10k was neutralised for safety.

The peloton made the most of the awful course, mostly, though I'd say the Zablinskaya incident (excluded for changing bikes dangerously on a corner, intentionally or otherwise) needs to be looked at again.

UCI need to take a long look at the reasons for choosing Doha (money apparently talks), as it seems the crowd at the finish line were directly related to members of the peloton. Any crowd there to cheer them on would have made it so much better. They don't need to have an exceptional knowledge of cycling either, as long as they can pick someone, anyone, or everyone, and make a lot of noise for them.
