Genuine bargain hunter, usually only here to lurk but thought I'd finally post something! Having said that, I do love free electrical gifts if anyone from Harvey Norman comes across this free advertisement...

How the hell is Harvey Norman still in business?

I got a washing machine and fridge from them, really good offers back then :pac:
Gas cooker was better priced at Powercity though, I bought mine there.

The thing with them is, when they advertise a big sale, it's usually a let down, whereas their regular sales are generally very good

Also, they keep saying "biggest HN sale ever" every couple of months, by now they should give stuff away for free :D

'Cos lots of folks either don't realise a better deal can usually be had elsewhere, or they're prepared to pay a premium for the convenience of toddling down to the local store to grab what they need. It's the same dynamic that keeps DID electrical in business.

I did look around extensively when I used HN. DID are usually crap.

If you're looking for home appliances, get onto Armagh Electrical. Got a dishwasher last month for €270 delivered, which was €360 in power city. With sterling falling like a stone, it would be even cheaper now.

Sony 42" tv €60 cheaper in Currys across the border
