Pity it is not the b22 bulbs on sale...

Most people will require an adapter to have these e27 bulbs work in their home

Yeah, I got the adapter... tbh, better off changing from a Bayonet Cap fitting alright. Seem to be getting harder to find in shops.

There's a guy that sells them on adverts quite cheap including postage. Not posting a link, I'm not associated with him but convenient if you cant be bothered to drive to Ikea

Ordered a load of those adapters from amazon.co.uk for £0.82 each. Free UK shipping (so use parcel motel)

They're a joke of a fitting. The regular pendant fittings that you get in a typical electrical suppliers (B22 fitting with the threaded white cap to conceal the connector blocks) are a much neater job. I must try to source them with the E27 end.

EDIT: Not available in my local suppliers but surely they are available somewhere?

Was talking to Anthony in Clifford electrical earlier, said they have the Lyvia adaptors, about 2/3€ each, could post them if needed urgent.

Dwyers have 'em too. But I hate them as a solution.

Just an update on my order: even though the Amazon product page said the bulbs would ship in 2-3 weeks I just received an email saying they'd be here by the 21st of Oct.

They pop up in adverts at times because it is sometimes more convenient to buy the "2 bulb + hub" package than buying the bulbs singularly so people buy that, keep the bulbs and sell the hub separately.
Monitor Amazon.de/.it/.es as they have price drops often.

They are much better than the adopters and you could just use the cable and E27 part instead of fitting the whole thing.

    True of course Ted,

just cut the flex to 10" and keep the other 25mtrs of cable you're left with for future jobs and the other part for when your dog gets neutered - a perfect collar ;)

Any image of those that you mention above?
Are they the fitting you connect the cable to?
Need some for a 3 section ceiling fitting but they'll have to be an adaptor type as its a brass type unit.

I've seen them in Woodies a while back so worth trying if you're near one.
