Volvo S60 1.6 diesel problems

    Hi All,
    I'm hoping that someone might be able to advise me on an issue with my 2015 reg Volvo s60 1.6l diesel which I bought from new.

    about 5 months after buying it I noticed a strange rattling noise from the engine compartment when the engine was at idle. Brought it to the dealer who said that they couldn't hear any noise. The noise progressively got worse, I made video recordings etc and back in to dealer again. after several journeys in and out and threats by me to take other action the dealer eventually made an attempt to fix the problem. they came to the conclusion that a new timing belt kit and water pump was the solution.

    While it did get rid of the original complaint I have noticed that the engine now sounds like a tractor, almost as if there is a hole in the exhaust pipe. Oil consumption seems to have increased also and there are now very black deposits at the 2 rear exhaust pipes.

    I am worried that there could be a serious problem like a bad turbo / injectors etc. has anybody had a similar problem with this engine, I think it is common to fords and PSA group.

    I have lost trust in the dealer, does any one know of an independent Volvo specialist in Galway / Limerick / Clare areas?
