Hey there, My name is Seán I went to a dentist 5th of October* 2016, he did an xray and he said that my molar which is the first from the back has bruxism, he drilled it down but the thing is after that, I still feel as though I do have a mild tooth ache (I did have a big tooth ache before that) but when he drilled he did a good job and when I looked at the xray he showed me he said it could be either bruxism or a filling that might be touching the nerve since the tooth that aches is filled.. but it feels as though the feeling is sorta decaying.. because when I touch my tongue against the molar its like a feeling of when i move my tongue to the right the crown is blocking but when i touch my tooth to the left is smooth kinda like a half wall.. sorry if this is hard to explain. Its not a pulp infection.. and I have been taking pain killers such as x2 Ibuprofen 200mg.

    Whats your question?

Well I been having this tooth ache in my molar and my dentist thought it might of been bruxism but after he drilled and evened my tooth a bit a few days after it still hurts the molar is a filled tooth I'm just wondering if the tooth needs to be refilled newly or should I get it extracted?

    5th of Friday?

Sorry I meant the 5th of Oct, I was very tired and in pain at night.

I'm just wondering if I should consider asking the dentist if I should get a refilling done or if I should just get it extracted.. because I don't want him to still think its bruxism because the recent drilling didn't work as well since I had the pain, I'll be going to him tomorrow if I make an appointment see how it goes. All and all I hope this will help me. The reason I posted this thread is because I have important study work coming up and I don't want my tooth ache to interfere.
