Audi A3 6th gear issue

    2008 A3 1.4 TFSI...when i select 6th gear there is horrible 'loud buzzing' noise..so much so that i cant use it....any ideas?

    Hello, I had this problem with 5th gear in an old 07 VW Golf. After a few mechanic opinions they all came to conclusion that the bearings in 5th gear needed replacing. May be worth a look...

    I had the same issue before with an insignia with 5th and 6th gear. Bearing gone in the gearbox. The gearbox probably has to some out, if so, would not be that cheap to get fixed as there is lots of labor involved.
