    Hi All,

I have tried all of the suggestions people have made about using the Sky box as a FTA. Unplug, remove card, card in upside down etc but cannot seem to get any of the FTA channels.

Is it because its a SKY+HD box or do I need to buy one of the FTA cards for the Sky+HD Box for it to work. If so any suggestions on best place to buy card.

I'm not interested in buying a box to get sat channels/recording options, happy if I can get the UK channels for free!!

    Thanks

Avoid the frustration and get yourself a simple Satellite STB which will receive all the FTA channels.
Even better get a combi STB to include the Saorview channels too.

I have been presented with a couple of Sky STBs but do not use them as I prefer my old Ferguson Ariva 120 combi device.

Bear in mind that you won't be able to pause or record without a SKY+ sub

Go on to Adverts.ie and buy a sky uk card for about €5
This is the only way to get FTA on the Sky*+ D box
