Hi, I too am starting a self build renovation/extension in Dublin and am looking into getting insurance cover. Please pm if you have any recommendations. Also do you know if it makes a difference to the cover cost if you stay living on-site? Thanks

Do you really need the insurance if the employers have their own insurance. I hate Ireland, they get you every way possible to get money out of you.

For me, it was a mortgage condition so yup, they made it necessary.
i got it via the same bank.

Ebs provide self build insurance for 12 months if you take out self build mortgage with them. First drawdown activates the cover
