Actually a bit cheaper on amazon now, £59.

I'm assuming 51 is standard and 55 is large?

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 23,243 Mod ✭✭✭✭godtabh

crap. I didnt see the size and ordered a 55. Probably should have ordered a 51 (its for the wife)

i believe 55 is standard and fits most people, female and male so you should be fine.

Has anyone bought anything from this site before? Are these real?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 566 ✭✭✭Evil_g

So I took a chance on these. They just arrived and as far as I can tell they're genuine.

Stitching on the case, the cloth included, the hinges, and lens fitting are all good quality. The left lens has the tiny RB engraved on.

They didn't have the sticker on the lens that you'd expect, but perhaps they're ex-display?

Anything else I should be looking for?

    Has anyone else taken delivery?

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 23,243 Mod ✭✭✭✭godtabh

Mine arrived today. I have a pair of ray bans and these came in the same packaging so happy that they are 100%

How much are these usually? What's the saving you would make?

Also in terms of size is 55 or 51 the standard size

I have the polarised version and they cost me 154 euros. IIRC the non-polarised version were 20 euro less. This is a great deal I think.

    And what about the sizing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 211 ✭✭gelsthe

There should be a faint RB engraved on one of the lenses...

When i ordered them I ordered Standard (55-16). The only other option was Small (51-16).

Both sizes appear to be available on that sunglasses shop website. Looks like the code to use is now QUICK10 (10% off) btw.

Didnt like the "Justin" frame so used the code to get wayfarers... Just got them, confirmed genuine. As someone who wears and owns a few pairs, they're definitely genuine.

All the right markings, hinges, RB on lens, all numbers match. Bargain at €65, double that in BT. Not a huge fan of the colour but at that price...

I have a pair of these 'Justin' Ray Bans. 55 would be standard. I got mine earlier in the year on amazon.es for €58.
Prices seem to go up & down a lot on amazon though so this is a good price.

There are online guides about commonly faked products like this.

    https://snapguide.com/guides/identify-fake-ray-ban-wayfarers/

this guide says good sign is the hinges, real one at the top

The genuine Justin hinges don't look like the Wayfarer hinge shown in the top photo. They actually look look more like the hinge on the bottom (except silver and generally stronger and better built). I went into the sunglasses hut in Jervis to check.

You can kind of see it here:

I tried to order a pair yesterday, but they wanted a copy of my drivers license or bank statement to confirm order, never had that kind of request before so I cancelled it..

How long did it take for everyone to receive their order?

I ordered Monday morn and still no sign. Do they come by regular post or courier ?

Dunno if anyone is interested, but there is 22% off everything on the site until midnight tonight (Sunday). The code is SGS22VBOX

The Justin pair that the OP posted are now approx. £80 which, when the code is applied, comes down to £62.40 (around €75 by PayPal's conversion rates).

Not sure these guys are the cheapest. I have used Discount sunglasses for Serengeti and it is much cheaper for these. Horses for course, depends on the brand and what you want
