This may be a long shot but just thought I'd see what the thoughts are.

I got a 50 voucher for Dundrum HMV a good few months ago bu totally forgot about it and now have realised they are closed. Is there any way of recouping its value anywhere?

They have gone bust. Your voucher has no value as you are technically an unsecured creditor and there's nothing that suggests unsecured creditors will get a cent back.

Are they plastic cards with a number on? You may find they're prepaid visa/mastercards. No idea if they are or not but it might be worth checking. If they are you can try spending them online (they usually have a CVC under a scratch off bit) or see if there is anyway to recoup through visa/mastercard.
