Brakes juddering on Kia ceed

I've recently started to notice a slight juddering feeling when braking in my 07 Kia ceed 1.6crdi. Front brake pads were replaced about 1 and half years ago and the rear discs and pads replaced approx 5 months ago when serviced. Any ideas what could be the prob? Also in the morning the car can turn over a couple of times on start up and a big puff of black smoke comes out of the exhaust, never fails to start just seems to have to work that bit harder first thing in the morning when cold. Any ideas?

    Thanks

I'd say you need front discs to sort the judder.
The black smoke if its first thing in the morning only isn't a big deal for a car that age. Black smoke is from fuel that hasn't properly been burned(lack of air)it usually happens when you floor a diesel but it might just take a second to catch its breath in the morning. Could be loads of things but I wouldn't worry just yet.

    Your front discs are warped.

The car is not due to be serviced for another 5000km. Would this be ok to leave until the next service or is this dangerous/bad for the car to leave till then, pending it does not get worse.

1 and a half years seems a bit premature for pads requiring changing is it not considering they are main dealer parts.

    Thanks

its not the pads that are the problem but they will/should be changed with the discs.
The discs can wear unevenly due to build up of brake residue usually. It can also be a bad quality disc. If your brake are very hot and you stop and hold your foot on the pedal the surface of the pad can imprint on the disc which then stops that spot wearing down as more and more breakpad material deposits over that spot.
They don't generally warp as such but rather the surface wears quicker in one spot causing a judder, usually more noticeable at motorway speed and can be felt in the pedal.
If you leave it the judder will cause premature wear on all the bushing and bearing and track rod Ends and even the steering rack so I'd make it a priority to get it sorted.

Sorry discs, I got the rear pads and discs done by my local garage for €160 supplied and fitted, can I expect the front to be the same price or is there a difference?

No should be roughly the same I'd say rear pads and discs might be a bit cheaper but not much. Labour should be the same.
