Still a bargain, free shipping or not. Have them myself since last Black Friday. Very nice sound, but not for bass heads

As a DJ, I say you generally can't go wrong with a pair of Seinheiser cans, they are the business for the most part...

My drawback with these (in looks alone) would be that they look like you can't replace parts if something goes wrong, unlike the likes of the HD25SP kind of models where you can replace ear muffs and cable's if they break...

Specs wise look very decent though, not sure if I have used this particular model or not though

Fieldog, you seem to have a point there, the first critical review says that the headphones are great and then six months later the reviewer edits it to say sound still fine but problems with damage to the headphones themselves

The cables are replaceable on these. Never looked into if the ear pads are, but I thought they are replaceable

That deal comes with 2 cables. The ear pads can be replaced also but the originals aren't cheap.

I have the ugly but strangely likable 'car dashboard' ones in cream and wood. I love the sound and they are really comfortable. They really leak though so I wouldn't recommend them for out and about. If using with a phone I think they would need a portable headphone amp.

I don't think you could get a better sound for the price, great detail and a very wide feel.
