i've just had a tooth crack while i was eating my lunch. trying to phone my dentist but he is on his own lunch. it is the upper left very back tooth and i can feel that the back part is gone. If i cannot get hold of my dentist this afternoon is there anything i can in the meantime to stop it getting worse?

IANAD, but I don't think it's an emergency scenario unless you are in pain. Just get the earliest appointment available.
