    Hi there,

I have a question on income tax losses regarding rates.

If there is a property and the rates are say 20k a year. Can you claim a deduction for this even if the rates are not paid?

If the rates are outstanding for say 2-3 years can you still claim a deduction in the year?

If you haven't paid the rates, you don't have a loss with regard to rates paid.
