Finally shown at a film festival this week a whopping 18 years since the last one. Out next Friday Oct 7th in cinema and download. Really looking forward to it. I remember catching it on BBC2 late one friday night, when they used to so good things lile that, then the following 2 in the next weeks and loved it.

Don Coscarelli isn't directing this one but he is a producer/writer. Also the last appearance of Angus Scrimm as the Tall Man, who died earlier this year. Fun fact, the Tall Man appears in an old Doctor Who novel!

Also worth noting that the first film is getting released as a 4K remaster as well. Overseen by JJ Abrams who is a massive fan and called Capt. Phasma from The Force Awakens after the film.

Really looking forward to this and have been for some time.

Its one of my favourite franchises and The Tall Man is right up there with Freddy and Jason as an iconic character in horror cinema.

Arrow are hosting a screening which leads me to believe they are going to release it on blu.

AFAIK only part 2 has ever gotten a blu ray release thus far.

I'm hopeful that they will do a chunky box set like they did for Hellraiser.

    Hopefully in this packaging again...

Just watched Ravager. Brilliant film. Really plays on the what is real and what isn't aspect again. Some great visual work and keeps you guessing right up to the end.
Rocky from Phantasm 3 turns up during the credits scene! And Jody appears in the final part. Potential for a sequel but i hope they don't do one without Angus Scrimm.

Watched this last night, really enjoyed it.

Was very poignant watching Angus as the tall man one last time.

The ending was ambiguous which I think suited the franchise overall.

I'm hoping that's the last we will see of them anyway, go out on a high point.

    Until the inevitable re/make/boot/imagining.

I waited and waited and waited for the inevitable line. Booooooyyyyy! I doubt there wqill ever be. Sequel/reboot. This is a franchise dearly loved and Don Coscarelli has always explained it's importance. There are 4 or 5 explanations for the franchise. Its ambiguity is one of it's draws. They can't make another without Angus Scrimm and highly doubt Coscarelli, Bannister et al will make any more without him.

Great film and defo my second fav after the first. I can't have been the only one hoping Dawn would have been the one he would have finally ended up with. But once he woke up and hilariously remembered her name i knew it was doomed.
