    Silver is a great metal as it goes with everything, not too expensive and you can have it as subtle or as statement piece as you like.
    Pearls would be nice but very formal and more expensive.

    ^^ I suppose it depends on budget, and how many you are buying for.. I got a wonderful pearl and silver necklace in Accessorize last year that I wore for a wedding and looked expensive but was maybe 15euro.. if even.. cultured freshwater pearls would be expensive but you can get cheaper ones that look just as nice.. I was thinking like pearl stud earrings or a silver chain with a pearl drop on it as opposed to a string of pearls..

    Pearls would look lovely something nice and simple..Small not large pearls as if the skirt is all tull you dont want to much clutter.. Sam mccauleys can do great sets something they are worth keeping an eye on them
