Diamonds in Antwerp

    Hi all,

    Just wondering has anybody dealt with Rob van Beurden, a diamond wholesaler/expert over in Antwerp?

    I was over reciently and met with him and he seemed really genuine and has offered me a really good deal on an engagement ring.

    I just want some piece of mind that the deal is not "too good to be true" and would like to know if anyone has any feedback (hopefully good!) on him from dealing with him in the past?

    Also he works with his associate (maybe wife) called Celine Gouwy from Diamond House Jewellery.

    Hi there,
    No haven't heard of him, has he a shop, just checked the Antwerp's Most Brilliant list and he ain't on it. This is a relatively new organisation with 17 jewellers. It's not the adja which has just 4 jewellers at the minute. Is the diamond he's offering certified, what colour cut clarity is in, can you check the number on the Cert with the GIA, I'm guessing it's a GIA diamond. I was in Antwerp last week, bought an eternity ring, not off any of the usual places that the Irish go to, like Jo KAtt, PHillippe Harold, Geretti, visited all them but didn't buy off them. Got a good recommendation off a guy here in Ireland who bought 3 rings off him, so went in to chat him, went away had a serious think, went back and ended up buying, had a good gut feeling. Let me know if you want the recommendation, paid in cash so not going to name him.
