Hope this is right section! Strange question not even sure how to word it.

If I am to make homemade lighting fixtures does anyone know what codes they have to comply with in order to sell them?

For instance if I make a copper lighting fixture using already certified parts with CE marks i.e pendants, cable etc is that enough?? Or does the whole fixture then need to comply to CE code?

    Any insight appreciated!

I can only answer from my personal view point. I make ceramics, if I make a ceramic piece and add lamp fittings, I need it certified by an electrician before I can sell it - despite having wired such items for years and my dad being a sparks. But if I teach a ceramic class and demonstrate how they might possibly wire the lamp, that is OK - as long as I make them aware that I am not qualified or wire it for them.

There is a company in Athy, Co. Kildare that specialise in Lamp Recylcing - I think they are quite aptly named "Irish Lamp Recycling". I pass the office everyday and they seem like a friendly bunch. They must be experts in all things regulatory around lamps - maybe you could give them a call and someone in there should be glad to help:
