    Hi All,

Just wondering how many years back can I go on a Form Med1 for Medical Expenses? Also is there a way of contacting your previous Doctor to get an exact figure or is that the "done" thing.

Can you claim again counselling visits?

You can go back 4 years. Use the online service rather tan the paper form as it's quicker. Full details for claims in link below.

This year, and the last 4 before it.

The current year is only claimable where hardship is pleaded. Generally speaking, health expenses claims are dealt with by way of review at the end of the tax year

Every GP operates differently. Some will not do it, at all; some will willingly; some will charge.

Most pharmacies can do it very simply as there's a very specific function in their dispensing software for it but many GPs don't even use the accounts in their medical records software and some don't have any.
