Hey, so I started a new job a month ago and am yet to get my wages paid to me properly!! I sent in the Emergency tax form was waiting to get my tax back and only got 70 euro in emergency tax im owed way more. I emailed my boss for payslips but they didnt reply. Is there anyone I can call in Galway that can tell me exactly what I am owed? I want to speak to some one directly. I called their lo call number but the guy couldn't tell me what I was owed. Even an email address would help.

I have everything done properly to get the tax back as I sent in the e12 form or what ever its called and I got my tax cert in the post.

If some one could give me a number I could call to sort this out I would really appreciate it as its really frustrating me iv been there a month!! I registered for PAYE Online but have yet to receive my password in the post.

    All help welcome!!

If the your have a cert showing that your tax credits and standard rate cut off have been allocated to your employer.

Then really your employer is the only one who can tell you when you will get your correct pay.

If you have not worked before then your earnings will be tax free for a good while.

I found the local number online before but it gets to an answering machine telling you to ring the 1890 number

Revenue can't help you, once the cert is sent out its up to your employer to sort it in the payroll

Surely you must be in a position to contact someone in your job other than by email, face to face contact with your Supervisor/Manager or someone in Payroll office perhaps??

Revenue aren't the ones applying the emergency tax, and they are not the ones collecting the tax either - both situations here is your employer.

They act as collection agents for tax on behalf of Revenue, and have applied the emergency basis as they have not got details of your allowances yet. It's up to you to make sure that Revenue issue your employer with this information. So the ball is in your court.

But nobody in Revenue will be able to tell you what's been stopped or what's due back - you should talk direct to your employer
